Music
A wide variety of music can be found in Hong Kong – Chinese Opera, Japanese, Taiwanese, British, American, etc. – though Cantonese popular, termed Cantopop, is the dominant genre.
Television
TV dramas are aired all day on the two local television stations, TVB and ATV. Most shows are from Hong Kong, but there also many that originate from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Mainland China.
Celebrities
Hong Kong has paparazzi that keep the public up to date on the latest celebrity gossip. The lives of singers, actors, and other celebrities are plastered all over the tabloids. In Hong Kong life, celebrities are obviously the most popular, but stars from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and the Mainland are also hot topics.
